Getting and Holding onto the Motivation to Lose Weight

Filed under: Uncategorized — loancredit @ 5:46 pm

Wow, I guess I have been away for such a long time. There’s not really that many people that read this blog anyway. Those holidays really did me in. It’s funny that food temptation hits you pretty hard because he only had to lose that weight later.

I was surfing just recently only to find a small little website that spoke to me with this quote “But you and I know that most of us really can’t drum up the motivation to get the job done. It’s definitely is a task that seems to be difficult to start and continue. “ at this website Fat Loss.

That hits a little too close to home. To make it worse, the older you get, the harder it is to keep that weight and fat away. Unfortunately, it seems all too easy to come right back after you lost some of it.

Anyway, in other areas of my life, I personally know that to bury failure does not have to mean permanently. Just as an entrepreneur who is truly an entrepreneur can fail many times before he or she succeeds, those of us with weight problems can do the same. Temporary setbacks do not mean that you have permanently failed. Just get back right up on the wagon. Start anew.

For Those People Looking to Tan To Look More Attractive

Take a look at this article don’t get sucked into various advertising endorsing tanning salons as being healthy. In the past, yes, I was one of those ones that was interested in getting tan fairly often. In fact, being out in the sun so much when I was really young could put me at greater risk now and in the future for possible melanoma.

Apparently tanning salons are trying to endorse tanning as a way of staying healthy. With not too much effort, you’ll find that doctors encourage two main efforts for keeping your skin healthy and resistant to aging. These two things happened to be staying out of the sun except for maybe early morning and later afternoon and not smoking. Doing both or either one of these two activities will affect the skin greatly. Let’s talk about tanning.

It’s not hard to point out those people that have tanned their bodies a lot in the past. Their skin becomes somewhat leathery like along with wrinkles. The skin becomes less elastic. The aging of the skin becomes much more apparent…. not only can you see it easily…. not only is the appearance bad looking but the skin is actually aged more. What I’m saying is, it not only looks that way but it is that way.

Therefore, next time you start feeling enticed to sign up for a series of tanning sessions because you believe it to be healthy for your body, you might want to think again. Try to put more of your effort into exercising your body and eating healthy. That’s what I am trying to do and I hope others attempt to do also.

Best Fat Loss Program? I Hope So…

I have been looking around for a few weeks to months right now for some fitness method that will fit my lifestyle until I die. I’m not interested in building up huge muscles at all so I was reluctant at first when looking at some of these build muscle fat loss programs. I definitely want to keep my fat loss forever if at all possible. I am tired of trying these diets that help lose weight but only to find out later that those diets are difficult to implement forever.

Anyway, after looking at so many different weight or fat loss programs mainly on the Internet but also in the bookstores, I have finally chosen and purchased this particular one. There are various websites that offer it but I first found it at this fat loss site. It was really skeptical of the domain name they picked but after reading fairly intensely…. saying all the testimonials, I decided to purchase. I also got on the e-mail list which help me also decide.

The most important factor for me choosing what I did was me being able to see a program that could be not only used for losing fat that I want to lose but also maintain it later. This program, as I see now can be adjusted to maintain all that fat that I have lost after reaching my goal. I’m tired of gaining weight back so I have great hope and confidence that this will carry out and sustain my success into the future. Yes, I am tired of the fat on my body but I also am interested in helping to prevent future diseases. With a little willpower and consistency I think I will be successful. I will keep people posted later as I continue to post articles and my insight on various news and information articles on this blog.

Some Cancer Linked with Belly Fat

Just found this article written in the United Kingdom that talks about cancer being linked with belly fat. I guess maybe not all cancer is related to it but enough is to bring on concern. If you want to read about it more take a look here

The article says that excessive belly fat has been shown to be linked to at least six different types of cancer including bowel cancer in postmenopausal breast cancer.

Studies have also shown that fat – particularly if it is stored around the waist – encourages the body to produce substances known as growth hormones. Having high levels of these hormones is linked to a greater risk of cancer.

Interestingly enough, the article promotes the body mass index number as helping you to understand if you have a healthy weight or not. The BMI can help you see whether or not you have a healthy weight but from what I have read, the waist to hip ratio has even more bearing on the risk you have for obtaining various diseases including cancer.

I read about one study where it said that a portion of people who measured out at an overweight BMI also had none or a little incidence of disease. This is because those people tell their fat in different parts of their body compared to the ones that did have incidence of disease from their excess of fat. If you or someone that has genetics that tell your body to carry fat in your hips as opposed to in your waist, studies show that you will have less risk for obtaining these life-threatening diseases in the future.

Love Handles…Why not Kill 2 Birds with One Stone

I think I’m doing fairly well lately with eating less and being a little more active. When I get the motivation, I will attempt to implement something a little more rigorous. Right now, I think what I’m doing is helping to a certain extent. I have managed to actually lose a couple of pounds… I hope it was fat but I really can’t see a difference yet.

Besides my belly fat, I hope to get rid of some of my love handles…. from what I read these will diminish depending on my genetics. It seems I have had these for such a long time that there will probably not leave until I lose a lot more fat…. we will see.

Anyway, I happened to find this article that talks about getting rid of those love handles.

Failed to do My Walk This Morning

UGH! I have been fairly good about doing a morning walk but this morning was to no avail. Unfortunately I did not do it. I am glad that I have read about not giving up so I will not either but it’s kind of hard to admit that I did not walk like I have been doing for the past week…. the thing is, I am fairly sure that this walking has really helped.

I realize some of you already do walk or exercise on a higher level. I’m trying to gradually work my way up. It’s not the easiest thing to do but I think I’m on my way.

Flat Belly Diet Review

It really did not take me long to discover the reality of this flat belly diet promoted or developed by Prevention. It seems to me that they are really making some amazing statements. One of the first ones that hits me is the statement of being able to lose 15 pounds and 32 days. Most people know that this is a recipe for disaster because your body will likely go into starvation mode fairly quickly. Also, losing weight is quickly will likely mean that you would gain it back and much more.

One of the main things I don’t like about this Flat Belly Diet is the name they have selected. No diet will focus on one area of your body. You can’t spot reduce fat or reduction in weight in one area of your body just like you can’t spot reduce fat by exercising one part of your body. However, just by naming their diet by using part of the body “flat belly”, they are basically implying that this guy will focus on the stomach region which can be further from the truth.

Whenever you look towards trying to reduce fat, I have read that it basically involves eating a little at us and exercising a little more. You can implement this in various levels depending on how much you want to lose. I also now it’s that are to have a specific program that incorporates both exercise and nutritious eating.

By the way, as I’m talking about exercise… this diet in their advertising makes a person tend to believe that you really don’t have to exercise to lose weight or fat. This definitely would be a bad thing to do since when you to lose weight, it can include muscle mass. So if you do lose weight is possible that you could lose both fat and muscle at the same time so it’s always best to exercise at the same time. Besides, your efforts at losing fat weight will be much easier if you use both exercise and good nutritious eating.

Oh… some of you might be asking if I actually tried this. Now I did not but there are many other programs that I am considering at the moment that will be much better than this. I’m looking for something that many people have had success with… something that has numerous testimonials that I can actually look into as being truthful.

Well, I’m definitely starting to understand I think little more about losing weight. I just need to generate a little more willpower to get the job done.

Reducing Belly Fat : I Guess It’s Much More Important Than I Thought

In my continuing unending pursuit of information that would possibly help me in my endeavor to reduce this old belly fat that seems to stay there forever, I happened upon an interesting article that talks about more of the importance of losing fat around the midsection. This article on talking about is titled Lose Stomach Fat…

I found it interesting because it goes more into the reasons why it’s important to lose fat in that area that are far above the reason to just look good. In other words, there are definitely better reasons…. more important reasons why people like me should lose fat in the stomach region besides trying to look better visually speaking.

Apparently, studies have shown that the extra weight carried around in the abdomen area becomes a precursor to potential disease which I guess includes heart disease (more info at this fat loss site). I did find another article that talks about those having a larger stomach being at risk for contracting other diseases besides heart disease. Anyway, this is simply food for thought. Hopefully some people will act by attempting to reduce fat as much as possible not only there but other places also… besides, now I know you can’t spot reduce fat so I guess weight will come off other areas while you work on your midsection.

By the way, I also see that because our stomach is not naturally flat, we really can not get a “flat tummy, flatter stomach, flat abs, flat belly, flat abdominals” etc. … so don’t try to start finding out how to flatten your abs, or get a flat belly because it won’t happen. Your belly will be somewhat around if you got rid of all the fat… I guess you would have six pack abs if you got all the fat out of the way but for most people obtaining 6 pack abs will almost be impossible.

Vegetables Being Good for You Is a Myth?

Recently I came across this webpage where this person talks about vegetables not really being good for you as much as one might think. I’m not sure what his point is from reading it.

I kind of think that he has some type of vendetta that developed far in the past when he was young from adults telling him that vegetables are good for him. From what he has said on this webpage, I’m not convinced whatsoever that vegetables being good for you is a myth.

Although I’m not a doctor or nutritionist, I am certainly expecting that his argument could easily be refuted. Actually, I do think that there probably is already evidence that refutes his argument. I have watched Dr. Oz from the show Oprah…. he is one of the doctors that wrote the book “You on a Diet”. He along with others have actually done tests on people that were able to get more healthy just by eating vegetables and fruit. They absolutely had no need whatsoever. Many of them actually had high cholesterol or other problems that were brought down to normal levels.

Certainly, having a multivitamin every day might be helpful, but doing this instead of eating vegetables would be the wrong way to go in my book. I certainly do like my junk food which I know is not good for me. I can go through a series of junk food items and later not feel so great. My feeling is that choosing to eat healthy food like vegetables and fruit along with some meat helps my body function much better than eating junk food along with a multivitamin.

Dropping and Keeping Off Weight Easily… Sort of Doing Things Others Usually Don’t Do to Lose Weight

There’s various ways to lose weight that will be successful over time but I am starting to see that the most successful way most people find will be changing your whole way of doing things which includes eating and exercise.

It’s amazing to see all those things that people do to lose weight. I’m sure you have seen those Nutrisystem commercials where they grab older celebrities to help them lose weight so that they can promote Nutrisystem’s products. How many people really believe that people who lose weight want to eat Nutrisystem’s food the rest of their life?

Why would anyone start that system of having to eat some processed food that will help you lose weight? What happens when you do lose your weight? I’ll tell you what will happen as I expect most people encounter. The vast majority of people will regain their weight fairly quickly. They will go back to their old habits of eating the food they did before the Nutrisystem program. Why would they continue to eat Nutrisystem’s food…. they would not.

Why not totally change your eating habits along with exercise by getting into a program of eating healthy the rest of your life? It certainly does not seem like rocket science to me to be able to put two and two together to get four.

I recently read a decent article again as I will continue to try to do to expand my knowledge about losing weight. This article happens to be within the same website as another article I mentioned. I will paste the first paragraph so that you can get a glimpse.

“The vast majority of people wait until the beginning of the year after the holidays to drop pounds. They start to seek out various fad diets that will undoubtedly probably not work over the long haul. Most people cannot stick to these diets forever. So why would one want to go on one of these diets only to stop it later? It seems they would know that the possibility for gaining back that weight will be high. A simple way to do it is to drop pounds the easy way. “ go see this article Drop Pounds….Get-Some-Loss of Pounds Simply
